When I enrolled my three children in Camden Community Charter School, I didn’t know what to expect. It was a big change from their public school. Now, I know sending my children there is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made as a parent.
The teachers at CCCS have more time to spend with students and help them understand concepts, and they go above and beyond to help students succeed. My children are excited to learn because their teachers are making learning fun. They come home excited to tell me about their day and all the new things they know.
I’m a true believer in the mission of CCCS—to partner with families and the community to empower today’s learners to be tomorrow’s leaders. While I have always been involved as a volunteer with my children’s schools, I felt so strongly about the school’s impact that I wanted to become a leader myself to promote CCCS. As PTA president, I’ve seen firsthand how involved parents are becoming in their children’s education—we hold fundraisers to support fun activities for students and interact with others in the community to discuss ways in which we can partner to help students succeed.
As CCCS’ first school year comes to an end, I’m thrilled to say my children have truly grown as students. They are excited about learning and look forward to continuing their education there. Their enthusiasm for learning makes me a proud CCCS parent.
